Columbia County looking to collect last of Hurricane Irma debris

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – Columbia County is hoping to collect the last of the debris from Hurricane Irma by next Friday, but needs residents to file a work order if they still have debris to be picked up.

Columbia County citizens should take the following steps to ensure debris is picked up by Public Works:

  • Submit a Work Order Request by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13 To submit a work order, call Public Works at 386-752-5955
  • Place all organic debris on the right-of-way by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13.
  • After the Oct. 13 deadline, standard organic debris pick up operations will resume, officials said.
