Weinstein's sexual harassment allegations: What if you boss acts inappropriately?

JACKSONVILLE,Fla. – Hollywood was stunned by the news of Harvey Weinstein's sexual harassment accusations. 

Weinstein was fired from his production company due to an in-depth news article published in The New Yorker, the result of a 10-month investigation by reporter Ronan Farrow. 

The New Yorker article exposed decades of charges against the Hollywood mogul. 

Hollywood actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie, since the publishing of the article, have  come forward with accusations of harassment against Weinstein. 

Sexual harassment is an issue that employes may encounter throughout their career. 

Attorney John Phillips states that if you are an employees who has dealt with sexual harassment, that, you should report the incident to the authorities and to be mindful of statute of limitations.

Phillips states that they are federal laws including Title 7, to ensure that employees are protected. According to Phillips, employees  should “not  be allowed to be coerced or required to doing anything inappropriate or called names while you work.”
