Jacksonville police: Shot fired into Westside seafood restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A gunshot was fired Tuesday night into a seafood restaurant on the city's Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. to Crabby Ben's Seafood on San Juan Avenue after police said they received a report that someone had fired into the business.

Minutes later, officers were also called to a fight at nearby Famous Sandwiches at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Jammes Road.

Police said they learned the same people were involved in both the altercation at the sandwich shop and the incident at Crabby Ben's Seafood.

The fight involved two men armed with pistols, neither of which was fired at Famous Sandwiches, police said.

One of the pistols was later recovered, investigators said.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a person was detained by detectives.
