Navy admits aircraft involvement in obscene skywriting

OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – U.S. Navy officials admitted one of their airplanes was involved in a skywriting incident that left obscene images in the sky.

KREM reports the graphic skywritings involved male genitalia over Okanogan County, Wash.

Many people were shocked to see the images high above and tweeted the images. Residents with children were angered over having to explain what was being drawn in the skywriting.

Officials at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island confirmed their aircraft took part in the manuevers.

"The Navy holds its aircrew to the highest standards and we find this absolutely unacceptable, of zero training value and we are holding the crew accountable," a Navy official told KREM.
