JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – Five kayakers who were stranded on Jekyll Island, Georgia, were rescued Monday, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
About 2 p.m., the Coast Guard Station Brunswick received a call from one of the kayakers, saying two adults and three children were stranded and in need of emergency assistance on Jekyll Island.

The Coast Guard launched a crew on a 45-foot response boat from Station Brunswick at 2:23 p.m.
The crew found the kayakers at 2:42 p.m. and took them to the Jekyll Creek Boat Ramp, the Coast Guard said.
No injuries were reported.
