Police stop vehicle with 'Griswold'-sized tree on roof

SUDBURY, Mass. – With the holiday season in full swing, people around the country are starting to decorate their homes and find the perfect Christmas tree.

It seems one family in Sudbury, Massachusetts may have gone a little too “Griswold” when buying their tree.

An officer with the Sudbury Police Department stopped a driver Friday on Route 20 with an oversized tree nearly swallowing the vehicle.

Sudbury police posted the photo to their Facebook page, reminding folks to transport their holiday trees responsibly.
