Officer shoots partner with stun gun while trying to apprehend suspect

Struck officer expected to make full recovery

A police officer in Ohio has been hospitalized after his partner accidentally shot him with a stun gun while trying to apprehend a suspect.

According to Cincinnati.com, the officers were responding to a domestic violence call when the suspect began to resist arrest. As one of the officers deployed his stun gun, police say one of the prongs hit his partner. 

After the officer was hit, body cam footage shows him falling to the ground and hitting his head. Although hospitalized, he is expected to make a full recovery.

The man involved in the domestic violence incident was charged with obstructing official business, failure to disclose personal information and resisting arrest.
