BRUNSWICK, Ga. – One person died in a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon in Brunswick, the Glynn County Police Department said.
The driver was identified as Mary Ellen Connell, 71, of Glynn County, who succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

It happened about 2:30 p.m. on U.S. Highway 17 just north of Harry Driggers Boulevard.
The Police Department's Special Services Unit was called to investigate the fatal crash.
