CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A woman who was taken against her will during a burglary in Clay County Sunday was found in Suwannee County later the same day, the Clay County Sheriff's Office said.

Sandy Griffin, 38, was taken by her ex-boyfriend, Jason Michael, 42, from the Fieldstone Apartment Community in the Oakleaf Plantation area, the Sheriff's Office said.

Police have charged Michael with burglary with battery along with other felony charges. Detectives are still investigating the abduction allegations.

Griffin was found at a property where she and Michael previously lived, officer Chris Padgett said.

Griffin recently separated from Michael, ending a three-year relationship and moved to Clay County, where she was living with a man who told police he was her close friend, Padgett said.

The Sheriff's Office sent investigators to Suwannee County to speak with Griffin directly, Padgett said.

No information was released on where Griffin suffered injuries, but Padgett said they were "nothing that was overly concerning."

The Sheriff's Office said it's looking into whether Griffin and Michael have prior domestic incidents.
