1 adult, 3 children hurt in Mandarin crash

Jacksonville police say driver of second car that crashed walked away


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Three children and an adult were hospitalized after a crash in Mandarin late Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office

One vehicle struck another while both drivers were traveling south on San Jose Boulevard at Ricky Road about 11:30 p.m., according to police.

The car with the adult and children hit a power pole. Police said the driver suffered life-threatening injuries and the children suffered serious injuries.

The second vehicle plowed into a propane tank and a pole. A witness told police the driver of the second car walked away from the scene. Police have only a vague description of the driver.

Police have not named any of the people involved in the crash.
