Coast Guard escorts damaged containers into port

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A cargo ship with damaged containers was escorted back to Jacksonville Friday by the U.S. Coast Guard.

The U.S. Coast Guard said the ship was on its way to Puerto Rico Friday when it lost 25 to 30 cargo containers. The containers were not watertight and most likely sank, officials said. 

There were no hazardous materials in the lost cargo containers, officials said.
