Missing Gainesville woman found safe, police say

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A missing woman with autism was found safe on Monday, the Gainesville Police Department said.

Lesha Jackson, 23, who has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old, was reported missing after she was last seen Saturday at her home on Northwest 31st Terrace, police said.

Police later said she was found Monday at a friend's home. Police said she was safe and not in any danger.
