Man robbed, shot by two men in Countryside Village, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in a robbery Friday night at a mobile home park in the city's Windy Hill neighborhood, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

The robbery happened just before 9 p.m. Police were called to the Countryside Village mobile home park off Beach Boulevard near St. Johns Bluff Road South.

Witnesses told police two men, wearing all black, demanded money and shot the man before running off. Police were told the men are between 5'8 to 5'10 and are in their early 20s. 

The man shot is in stable condition, police said. 

Anthony Sullivan lives in the area and told News4jax that shootings aren't commonplace in her neighborhood. 

"It’s not an all the time occurrence, that’s for sure. (It's) pretty out of the ordinary," Sullivan said.
