Report: Teachers' pension fund invested in gun maker

The Florida teachers’ pension fund had invested in the makers of the gun that was used in the Parkland shooting.

The fund had $500,000 and 41,129 shares worth of stock in American Outdoor Brands?

American Outdoors was formerly known as Smith & Wesson.

According to a Bloomberg report, the Massachusetts based company made the AR-15 used in the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last week.

The securities filing posted on the pension plan's website shows that the Florida Retirement System Pension Plan also invested in gun company stock issued by Sturm & Ruger Co., Vista Outdoor Inc. and Olin Corp--all of which manufacture firearms or ammunition, according to Bloomberg.
