Crash knocks out power to 1,500 JEA customers

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – About 1,500 people were without power on Jacksonville’s Westside on Monday after a crash that damaged a utility pole and power lines.

Crews worked to restore power on Collins Road near I-295.

The outage was first reported shortly after 6 a.m., according to an outage map on the utility’s website.

Power was originally expected to be restored by 9 a.m., but was adjusted to shortly after 1 p.m. All power was restored by the afternoon.
