LAKE CITY, Fla. – A 61-year-old Lake City man died Monday night when his car crashed on Northwest Nash Road and Northwest Carr Court in Columbia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said that Howard Michael Lott drifted off the right edge of the road and into the ditch about 9:30 p.m. His Acura TL continued through the ditch until it struck a tree.

Lott died at the scene. According to the FHP report, the accident is still under investigation.
