Woman robs credit union in Lackawanna, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman robbed a credit union in the Lackawanna neighborhood of Jacksonville's Westside early Monday evening, police said.

The robbery was reported about 5 p.m. at the Alive Credit Union at the corner of Lenox and McDuff avenues.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, a woman wearing dark clothing and glasses walked into the business, passed a note demanding money to a teller and then ran off with unknown amount of money.

Police said the woman was described as being 40 to 50 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds and having short hair. 

Investigators on Wednesday released surveillance images of the woman and a white sedan, which police said they believe the woman arrived in and departed in.
