Jacksonville police: 30-year-old woman killed in Argyle Forest crash

JSO: Woman lost control, hit Dodge Ram; Dodge driver, 70, suffers minor injuries

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 30-year-old woman died after she lost control while driving and hit a pickup truck Monday night in the Argyle Forest area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. on Collins Road near Rampart Road.

Police said the woman was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee when she lost control, went into oncoming traffic and struck a Dodge Ram.

The woman was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where she died, police said. She has not yet been identified. 

The 70-year-old man driving the Dodge was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center Clay County with minor injures, police said. 

Traffic homicide detectives continue to investigate.
