Investigators said they later issued arrest warrants for Larry Monroe, 18, of Brunswick.

About 8:15 p.m. Monday, Brunswick police officers arrested Monroe in the area of the McIntyre Court housing complex on Albany Street, Glynn County investigators said.

Police said Monroe will be booked into the Glynn County jail on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Investigators said they believe the shooting stemmed from a fight between two teenagers.

“The Glynn County Police Department will work with other partner law enforcement agencies in Glynn County to aggressively investigate and prosecute these senseless acts of violence," Glynn County Police Chief John Powell said Sunday. "Families should be able to enjoy activities within the Golden Isles without fear of those who have no regard for innocent lives."
