JSO: 3-year-old ‘critical' after being found unresponsive in Arlington pool

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 3-year-old boy was in critical condition at last check after being found unresponsive in a backyard pool in the Charter Point neighborhood in Arlington, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Officers were called just before 5 p.m. Thursday to a home on Whispering Inlet Drive, off University Boulevard North.

Police said a woman performed CPR on the child until rescue personnel arrived and transported the child to Baptist Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. 

According to the incident report, the child is from Georgetown, Tennessee.

Police said the child's parents and grandparents, as well as other young children, were at the home at the time. 

Investigators said the family is cooperating and foul play is not suspected.
