Flagler County teen resurfaces 8 months after disappearance

PALM COAST, Fla. – A Palm Coast teen believed to be missing for eight months resurfaced Tuesday in South Florida, where authorities say she's been living under an alias.

Samantha Lynn Posella came forward a day after the Flagler County Sheriff's Office publicized her disappearance in the hopes of bringing an end to the case, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The Sheriff's Office said Posella, who was originally reported missing in October 2017, does not have to return home to her parents because she is now an adult.

Prior to Tuesday's discovery, investigators suspected the teen may have been the victim of a crime, citing inconsistencies in statements provided by the person who was believed to have seen her last.
