BUNNELL, Fla. – The tap water is safe to drink again in Bunnell, Florida. City officials lifted the boil-water notice that began on Sept. 6 following a traffic crash involving a city fire hydrant.

City officials said tests of water samples taken over the past 72 hours have been cleared by lab testing allowing the boil-water notice to be lifted.

The accident involving two cars, a power pole and city fire hydrant forced the city to turn off water service citywide and the loss of pressure triggered the boil-water order, according to Bunnell City officials.

The city will continue to provide updates on the Bunnell city websiteand Facebook page. For more information call (386) 437-7500.
