FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff's Office briefly evacuated part of Calming Water Drive in Fleming Island until deputies had the situation under control.
Deputies said the man had a rifle. He surrendered as the SWAT team deployed.
We received info of an armed subject suffering from mental health concerns. Every precaution was used in order to keep the community safe, while negotiating with the subject. These measures were successful and the subject surrendered, bringing this to a peaceful resolve. #CCSOFL
