Traffic clearing after semi jackknifes on I-10 at Cassat

Florida Highway Patrol says pole was down, secondary crashes caused delay

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An early morning crash that involved a jackknifed tractor-trailer on eastbound Interstate 10 at Cassat Avenue has started to clear by 8:30 a.m.

The Florida Highway Patrol responded about 5 a.m. to the crash involving a crashed semi and a pole down. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department also responded to the crash to clean a diesel leak.

A second crash also occurred on I-10 when two dump trucks collided. No one in either accident was hurt, but troopers advise drivers to take an alternate route.

The wrecks were mostly cleared by 8 a.m., there was still a significant eastbound delay.
