Man injured during carjacking at Northside gentlemen's club

JSO: 24-year-old shot in leg before car stolen from parking lot of club

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot in the leg early Thursday during a carjacking on the Northside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

Officers were dispatched about 2:30 a.m. to the Gate Gentlemen’s Club on Lem Turner Road.

According to the incident report, a 24-year-old told police that he was beaten up and shot in the leg before his car was stolen from the parking lot.

The car was found abandoned a short time later, police said.

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at UF Health and has since been released.
