After the shooting occurred on the street in front of the Majestic Plaza Apartments, police shut down the road as officers canvassed the area and knocked on doors.

"It's a shame because I spent a long day at work and I want to come home and settle in with my child," said Ashley Turner, who lives at the apartment complex. "Every time I look around there's something going on."

Police told News4Jax it was not known if the shooting was related to shots fired at a social worker at the same complex earlier Tuesday. According to the police, the woman was sitting in her car on 36th Street when three men in a white sedan drove by, pointed three guns at her and then fired shots into her car. She was not hit and no one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
