BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A Georgia man convicted of molesting and sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl was sentenced to seven years in prison Wednesday, according to the district attorney's office.
District Attorney Jackie Johnson announced Jeromy Truman Chandler of Woodbine must register as a sex offender and spend eight years on probation after he serves his seven-year prison sentence.
Chandler is not allowed to have any contact with children.
According to testimony during the trial, Chandler had committed a previous sexual assault in Duval County before the February 2017 incident involving the 10-year-old girl. The jury found Chandler guilty of child molestation and sexual battery.
