An Army National Guard employee is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a child between the ages of 12 and 15.
According to an arrest report from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Jovanne Montanez, an employee of the Army National Guard at Camp Blanding, was arrested late Tuesday morning in Clay County on a warrant out of Duval County.

Montanez, 30, was then transferred from the Clay County jail and booked into the Duval County jail Tuesday afternoon. As of Monday afternoon, he was out of jail on $152,500 bond, online jail records show.
According to an arrest warrant obtained by News4Jax from the State Attorney's Office, the incident happened in 2016 and the victim is a family friend. The warrant shows Montanez was investigated for sexual contact with the same victim in Clay County in 2016. That case was closed, with no charges, but has now been reopened. Montanez is also under investigation for his contact with a different victim, but not yet charged, according to the warrant.
