Missing North Carolina boy found safe in Florida, police say

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A missing child alert has been canceled for a 9-year-old North Carolina boy after he was found safe in Florida. Durham Police are now calling this a parental abduction case.

Investigators say Benjamin Karg's mother, Crystal Karg, took the boy out of state without his father's consent. Police say the two had been missing since Friday and they were believed to be in the Jacksonville or Yulee area. An Amber alert was issued Sunday in North Carolina, while a missing child alert was issued in Florida.
