PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – A spectator got a hole in one at The Players on Wednesday.
Ricardo Fonseca proposed to his girlfriend, Emma Baxley, on the 17th green.
The proposal hit close to home because Emma’s family has lived off of the first hole of the valley course for most of her life.
Emma’s mom, Kelly, has been co-chairwoman of the walking scorers for 13 years and her dad Bob has been a walking scorer for eight years.
Spanish professional golfer Sergio Garcia was in on the surprise, carrying the ring with him during his practice round until he got to the 17th green when Ricardo came out of the tunnel with flowers.
Ricardo then held a sign that said, "she said yes."
