JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – A missing 17-year-old Jacksonville Beach girl was found safe by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, police said Friday.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department had asked for the public’s help to find the girl, who had last been seen by her mother about 3 p.m. Thursday on Eighth Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach.

Police did not indicate exactly where or when the girl was found but said she was "recovered safely" and thanked the public and media for their help.
