JACKSONVILLE, Fla – A man was found shot multiple times Friday night on West 33rd Street in Northwest Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said the shooting happened near the intersection of Benedict Road and Paris Avenue, about a block away from Avenue B. The victim, who was believed to be 19 years old, was in a car when he was approached by a man who opened fire.
According to police, several houses and a vehicle were also struck by the gunfire.
The victim then drove to West 33rd Street in an attempt to get help. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
