Man shot in the torso on Wiley Road expected to survive

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has not made an arrest in the case

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a person shot at 8:37 p.m. Saturday at 7091 Wiley Road. 

When officers arrived the victim was standing on the front porch with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.

The victim was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. 

Police say a weapon was recovered inside the house.

Everyone who was in the house was questioned by detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit.

The man's name has not been released. No arrests have been announced by JSO.
