Deputies went there to serve an arrest warrant for Cameron Roberts, 27, who was wanted for armed robbery and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Residents in adjoining apartments were evacuated or asked to shelter in place.

Negotiators brought Roberts' family members to the scene, and they pleaded with him to surrender peacefully and follow deputies' instructions. He eventually gave up and was taken into custody.
