JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Happy Tuesday Evening!
Today the patchy fog dissipated quickly and we warmed up beautifully into the upper 70s. We had an isolated coastal shower wander onshore with our gusty northeasterly winds, but aside from that it was gorgeous.
Tonight we will cool down under partly cloudy skies into the mid to upper 50s and low 60s for early Wednesday morning. Winds will fade slightly to be out of the northeast between 5-10mph. Patchy, dense fog is possible after midnight through 8:00a.m.
Wednesday morning, any patchy fog clears by 8:00a.m. and then you can expect partly cloudy skies and temperatures will climb into the warm mid to upper 70s. As the onshore winds build, it introduces the chance for an isolated coastal shower to wander onshore. Expect northeasterly winds to peak between 10-15mph.
Our quiet weather pattern continues through the mid week, with mornings prone to patchy dense fog and cool starts in the 50s. Afternoon temperatures warm into the mid to upper 70s, with onshore (northeasterly) winds continuing and that introduces a slight chance for a coastal shower to wander onshore Tuesday through Thursday.
The mild temperatures continue for the rest of the work week, topping out in the low to mid 70s each afternoon. The cold front we are tracking that is set to push through our area Friday and into Saturday looks like it will be a dry cold front, with only a 20%, isolated chance we will see a shower or two on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday.
The cold air behind the front will be limited, negating any big cool down after the front passes. The skies will clear out nicely on Monday though, with mostly sunny skies on Tuesday as well.
