JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Gotta love this evening's weather! Starry skies with warm temperatures. Even better, is a nice easterly breeze that is keeping the mosquitoes from really attacking. Evening temperatures will slowly drift down towards 75° downtown and the low 70s inland by daybreak. Skies will remain starry with sunrise at 7:28 a.m.

Happy triskaidekaphobia (yes, the fear of the number 13), Friday is literally Friday the Thirteenth!

Beautiful start and finish for Jacksonville, as only a few scattered Georgia clouds and showers will develop Friday afternoon. Highs will be the downside, afternoon temperatures will top out just shy of 90°. Feel-like temperatures will top out around 95°, whew! A little hot!

Beach weather will be fantastic for this time of year and not just for Friday, but all weekend long! Each afternoon will see surf run 2-3 feet as rip current risk will remain on the moderate side, lots of sunshine and beautiful, warm breezes with highs around 82° each afternoon. Beach high tides will be around 4-5 each day. This means nice wide beaches during the morning's,

Overall, expect Friday through Sunday to be very warm with afternoon highs around 90° with only a few showers possible Sunday afternoon. These showers will be mainly inland and not impact the game at Everbank. Kick-off is at 4:05 p.m.

Tropical update: Ophelia is a category 2 hurricane that will impact the west coast of Ireland in about 5 days. This will be the first hurricane to impact Ireland since 1961 when hurricane Debbie hit the Emerald Coast.

Will that do it for the tropics and 2017 ???

Probably not, even though I am really hoping so... Forecast models are again hinting at something in the Caribbean Sea in about 10 days.
