Cool, gorgeous night with a nice warm up Saturday

Sunday won't be quite as pretty

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Happy start to the weekend!

Today was gorgeous, sunny, and mild- topping out in the mid to low 70s.  The clear skies stick around tonight, making for a quick trip into the chilly temperatures after sunset.

Tonight overnight lows will sink down into the upper 40s and low 50s. Expect clear skies, calm winds, and dry conditions.

Saturday ,expect a beautiful and sunny warm up, with afternoon highs topping out in the upper 70s to low 80s for inland areas and in the mid to upper 70s along the beaches.  The wind (finally!) turns offshore, out of the southwest between 5-15 mph.  There are no chances for showers Saturday.

Sunday, a cold front pushes through early and that changes the forecast.  Current model timing has the front pushing through I-75 around 4am - 6am and near I-95 around 8am - 10am.  A skinny line of showers will push through ahead of the front. The front will clear the beaches by the afternoon, with increasing wind and cool temperatures as the skies clear.  Lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s to start and then will give way to highs in the 60s behind the front.  Winds will build out of the northwest between 5-15 mph.  Rain chances  are at 40 percent.
