Winter nor'easter builds into evening downpours

Mainly light misty rains until this evening then downpours and storms

JACKSONVILLE, Fla, - One to three additional inches of rain expected as the next cold front pushes through late this afternoon and overnight tonight.

A strong cold front continues to move south as a stationary front positioned locally keeps us under clouds with increasing showers.  The cold front will move through our area late today and overnight tonight increasing rainfall with an additional one to three inches of rain possible through Saturday morning.  Freezing temperatures in SE GA Saturday morning becoming widespread Sunday.

This evening:  Waves of  showers will move west to east along a stationary front as a stronger cold front pushes south.  Scattered showers will become steadier rain with isolated thunderstorms  tonight.  One to three inches of rain possible through Saturday morning.  Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s in SE GA with 50s to low 60s in NE FL.  Wind NNE 5-15 mph.

Saturday:  Rain will last into the early morning.  Clearing and cool through the day.  Wake up temperatures in the upper 30s to 40s in SE GA, 40s across NE FL.  Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s across NE FL.  Wind NW 10-15 mph.

Sunday:  Freeze Watches or Warnings may be possible across the viewing circle.  Take time while you can to protect your tropical plants and remember those pets.  Wake up temperatures in the upper 20s to low 30s inland, mid to upper 30s with a few low 40s along our sandy shores.  Afternoon highs in the low 50s area wide.  Wind NW 5-10 mph.
