With Veterans Day upon us, there are lots of business around the state offering discounts for veterans and their families throughout the weekend.
The actual day, it's worth noting, is on Sunday.
Here are some weekend deals we found on the website MilitaryBenefits.info, although participation may vary. Call or check online with the restaurant or attraction you're planning on visiting to make sure that you'll receive the promotion that you're anticipating.

4 Rivers Smokehouse (Orlando, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Kissimmee, Longwood, Orange Park, Tampa, Tallahassee, Winter Garden, Winter Park) - Veterans can enjoy a free sandwich on Monday. Please show a valid military ID at your local Smokehouse.
Brevard Zoo (Melbourne) - Current military members and veterans receive complimentary general admission on Saturday and Sunday.
Castillo de San Marcos (St. Augustine) - Admission to the fort will be free on Sunday. The Castillo is open from 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Florida Aquarium (Tampa) - All active duty military, retired, those with prior service of the armed forces (includes Guards and Reserve), and dependents, can receive one free general admission ticket on Sunday and Monday.
Florida State Parks - Free park entry for everyone at Florida state parks on Sunday.
Harry P. Leu Gardens (Orlando) - Free admission for all veterans and current military on Sunday.
Ker’s WingHouse Bar and Grill - (Altamonte Springs, Bradenton, Clearwater, Daytona Beach, Daytona Speedway, Doral, Ellenton, Fort Myers, Gainesville, Kissimee, Lakeland, Largo, Miami, New Port Richey, Ocala, Orlando, Palm Harbor, Pinellas Park, Sanford, Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Tampa, Wesley Chapel) - Free meal from a select menu for veterans and active duty on Sunday.
Legoland Florida (Winter Haven) - All veterans and active-duty military can celebrate Veterans Day by saving up to 25 percent on select dates during the month of November.
The Lightner Museum (St. Augustine) - All former military personnel with identification and their immediate families will be admitted free on Sunday and Monday.
Naples Zoo - Veterans and active military service members get in free during Veterans Day weekend Saturday to Monday. Additional guests in the party receive a discount to regular zoo admission. Proof of service required.
New York Prime (Boca Raton) - Free entree offered Sunday for veterans and active-duty military service members.
Old Town Trolley Tours (St. Augustine, Key West) - On Sunday, free admission to the following: Old Town Trolley Tours, Old Jail, Oldest Store Museum Experience and St. Augustine History Museum.
Orlando Science Center - In honor of Veterans Day and Aviation Month, a special admission offer for all veterans and active-duty military members through Nov. 21. Veterans can enjoy free admission for themselves and a discount for their family by presenting valid military ID.
Optimus Car Wash & Detail (Bradenton)
Veterans can get a free car wash all day Monday.
Space Coast Area Transit (Brevard County) - All veterans ride for free Sunday.
St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum - Veterans receive free admission on Sunday, as well as a discount for their immediate family members. Active-duty also receive free admission and so does their immediate family.
TooJay’s (Altamonte Springs, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, Coral Springs, Hallandale Beach, Jupiter, Lady Lake, Lake Worth, Lake Mary, Lakeland, Ocoee, Orlando, Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Plantation, Sarasota, Stuart, Tampa, The Villages, Vero Beach, Wellington, West Palm Beach) - Veterans and active-duty military eat free on Sunday from a select menu.
United Skates (Tampa) - Free admission for active-duty and retired military member and families on Monday from noon to 4 p.m.
World Golf Hall of Fame and Museum (St. Augustine) - Active-duty military, veterans and their dependents get free admission for all on Saturday and Sunday.
Zoo Miami - Will offer free admission to all veterans, active-duty U.S. military and reserves members with the appropriate military ID from Friday to Monday.
