And Grimm is now facing two new counts from Clay County of being an unlicensed contractor.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Grimm took $22,000 from one victim and $6,000 from another, and never did the work.

In March, the Better Business Bureau of Northeast Florida warned of Grimm ahead of the Jacksonville Home and Patio Show.

According to the BBB, 11 unsuspecting customers met Cary Grimm at the Home and Patio Show last year and then hired him. The customers accused the man of taking their money, but never doing the services that he was paid for.

“Got contracts, took money, never completed the job. In some cases, he took a down payment and never showed up. In other cases, he took a down payment, demo'd the house, then never showed up after that. The amount of loss was in the six figures," Tom Stephens, president of the local BBB office, told News4Jax in March.

Grimm will go to prison once the Clay County case is resolved.
