Man shot during robbery in Oakleaf

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 26-year-old man was shot during an attempted robbery late Monday night in an Oakleaf neighborhood.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is searching for two gunmen. 

The shooting happened about 11:45 p.m. when a man was getting things out of his car on Ribbon Falls Lane when two men approached. The incident report said one of the man shoved the man from behind, threw his belongings on the ground and tried to take his pants off.

Police said the victim was connected with his girlfriend on Facetime at the time and when he told her to call 911, one of the attackers fired one shot.

That man was grazed in the shoulder by a bullet but is expected to be OK. 

Robbery and Crime Scene detectives investigated the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff's Office.
