Nease High football player facing child porn charges

16-year-old charged with 10 counts of possessing child porn, deputies say

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A 16-year-old St. Johns County boy was arrested Wednesday on 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of sexual performance by a child.

Alexander Ngai-Crim was taken into custody at his home, deputies said.

Ngai-Crim is a student and football player at Nease High School, according to the St. Johns County School District.

Deputies said the investigation into Ngai-Crim began a week ago when Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) detectives received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that an individual had uploaded numerous images of suspected child pornography.

A search warrant was executed early Wednesday morning, and detectives seized numerous items of electronic devices and storage that were and will be forensically searched, deputies said.

Numerous images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children were located on a computer belonging to Ngai-Crim. Detectives then obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect on the 11 felony charges, deputies said.

Ngai-Crim was booked into the County Jail and will be turned over to Juvenile Justice Authorities. Additional charges are pending further investigation by SVU/ICAC detectives of the Sheriff’s Office.

News4Jax went to Ngai-Crim's home Wednesday night to speak with his parents, but no one was there.
