Man wanted for aggravated stalking

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – One man was killed in a police-involved shooting late Monday at a house in the 7800 block of Southwest 33rd Terrace.

Miami-Dade police said the man was wanted for aggravated stalking, a felony.

Daniel Fernandez said police came to his house first

"When I got here, my family did tell me they did knock on our door and actually walked into the property searching for him," said Fernandez.

But they eventually found their man on the next block. It's unclear what caused an officer to shoot the man. He died on scene.

A police spokesperson said the suspect may have had a gun, and detectives are searching for that weapon.

The man's name was not immediately released.

Officers were questioning one person in connection with the shooting.
