JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard rescued three men after their boat became disabled off Florida's Atlantic Coast on Tuesday night.

The agency said in an email that a Jayhawk helicopter crew located the boat some 18 miles off of Ponce de Leon Inlet near Jacksonville after the wife of one of the boaters called for help.

They brought in a response boat for the rescue, which towed the disabled boat to the inlet, a news release said.

“It was great to see all of our training pay off,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Collin Milne, the coxswain on the case. “We had ideal weather and great communication, which was vital to the success of the mission and everyone played a pivotal role.”

No injuries were reported.
