4 arrested in multicounty robbery investigation

Following a one-year multicounty investigation of armed robberies and burglaries in Lafayette and Suwannee counties, four north Florida residents were arrested last Thursday.

Jose Torres, 23, of Worthington Springs, Josue Orellana, 27, of Worthington Springs, and Keith Kazwell, 26, of Live Oak were each arrested and charged with attempted murder, home invasion robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, burglary of a dwelling and grand theft.

Kristin Noel, 29, of Worthington Springs, was arrested and charged with aiding and abetting attempted murder, home invasion robbery, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, burglary of a dwelling and grand theft.

Torres, Orellana and Noel were booked into the Union County jail. Kazwell was booked into the Suwannee County jail.

The arrests were the result of cooperation between the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tallahassee Regional Operations Center, Baker County Sheriff's Office, Lafayette County Sheriff's Office, Suwannee County Sheriff's Office, and the Union County Sheriff's Office.

FDLE said the investigation is ongoing.
