Duffy is also charged with resisting arrest, and Brown is also charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said Brown, Duffy  and a third woman went to Victoria's Secret at the Orange Park Mall and Brown distracted an employee while Duffy and the other woman took items off hangers and put them in their purses.

Police were called and the responding officer saw Duffy and the third woman, who matched the description of the shoplifters, in a gray Honda Accord that ran a stop sign in the parking lot and then sped away from the officer when he attempted to pull the car over.

The Accord sped away on Orange Park Northway toward Wells Road, took a turn too fast and flipped onto its roof, police said.

Duffy and the other woman got out and ran off on foot, but Duffy was captured by an officer, police said. The other woman got away.

Brown was arrested after a mall security guard said he found a purse filled with stolen Victoria's Secret merchandise and Brown said the purse was hers.

When police searched the purse after her arrest, they found marijuana, a drug grinder and Victoria's Secret merchandise. They also found items from Victoria's Secret in the back of the car.

The stolen items were returned to the store, police said.
