BUNNELL, Fla. – A man riding a horse while drunk was arrested in Flagler County after causing traffic and a train to stop, according to deputies.

Charles Cowart was arrested Monday on several charges, including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest without violence, aggravated fleeing and eluding and cruelty to animals.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, Cowart was intoxicated and riding a horse in the middle of U.S. 1 in Bunnell around 4:15 p.m.

Cowart fell off the horse and tried to run into nearby woods but was later found by police and arrested, deputies said.

Cowart was being held on $7,000 bond.
