Deputies: Man stabs 3 family members in Fla. Keys

ISLAMADORA, Fla. - A California man has been charged with stabbing three family members in the Florida Keys.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office reports two women were stabbed in the arms and a man in the abdomen Saturday evening.

A deputy responded to a Plantation Key house in Islamadora at about 9:45 p.m. Twenty-year-old Jacob Knapper of Agoura Hills, Calif., allegedly ran out of a room and yelled at the deputy to shoot him. The deputy saw Knapper was not armed and was able to hold him until backup officers arrived.

The motive for Knapper's attack on his mother, aunt and uncle remains unclear.
Three children were at the house at the time and were not injured. Knapper's uncle was taken to Mariner's Hospital for treatment.
