PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The U.S. Navy and Coast Guard are assisting a boat that is taking on water off the coast of Ponte Vedra.
The Coast Guard said they received a distress call around 1:20 p.m.

They said the 28 foot vessel began taking on water at a slow rate about 18 miles off the coast.
A U.S. Navy helicopter along with a Coast Guard auxiliary aircraft were monitoring the boat from the air as it continued to shore.
