Lt. Steve Mullen with JSO told the Times-Union that the incident began with a domestic dispute call about a man threatening his wife with a gun.

Mullen told the TU that SWAT was called out because the man was not cooperating with police.

The SWAT team spent hours trying to get the man, 55, to give himself up. Officers spoke on a megaphone trying to lure him out.

The TU reported that around 1 a.m., loud bangs and sounds of breaking glass were heard as SWAT fired teargas into the home.

By 2 a.m., SWAT had entered the home and the man was arrested without incident. No one was hurt.

Neighbors told the TU that man lived the neighborhood for about 6 years.

His identity was not made available Sunday morning.
